We have been in business locally for over 25 years. We have a lot of loyal customers and constantly meeting new ones. We specialise in Collision Repairs, WOF, Private and restoration work. We stand behind all our work and guarantee our repairs. We are Proud members of the CRA (Collison Repair Association). We are an approved CRA structural repair centre, also authorised repair centre for Hyundai, Suzuki, Holden and Mazda.

Mike Maitland Mike Maitland founded Newport Panel and Paint and has over 25 years experience in the industry. Mike’s vision and commitment at Newport is to offer all our loyal customer new and old a prompt, professional, efficient, friendly service. It was Mike’s dream that he has achieved a state of the art establishment. Recognised by our peers as an industry leading facility, using the best technology and equipment to repair and re- finish to manufactures specifications. Mike was also New Zealand’s top 3rd year Panelbeating Apprentice and Best All Round Apprentice. He also received the top award The Cliff Manning Memorial cup. Mike spent several years as a LTNZ Repair certifier one of an elite small team across New Zealand giving him a lot of knowledge in vehicle repairs to manufactures standards. He also spent 12 months in America working and repairing specialised vehicles. He also has many I-Car course qualifications and is always keeping up with the latest technology from attending courses and workshops making Newport Panel and Paint a leading edge company in the trade. |
The Team
The Newport team have extensive experience in vehicle repairs and re-finishing. Newport is committed to continued training of all staff to keep them up to date with the latest technology. Staff members regularly attending I-Car New Zealand courses, thereby ensuring your vehicle is returned to you in it’s pre accident condition, not just visually but structurally too. Mike and his team take immense pride in what we do and how we do it.
